Katie Ackrill graduated from Reading University in 2014, with a Master's Degree in Art History specialising in the representation of women in contemporary and art historical discourse.

As a Wiltshire-based visual arts coordinator, she has worked with a number of artists and organisations in the county to deliver exhibitions and engagement programmes. This includes four years curating the visual arts programme at the Pound Arts Centre in Corsham, and delivery of Bob and Roberta Smith's Make Art Not War project at New College Swindon. She also delivers art history courses for beginners as part of the college’s adult learning programme.

Katie currently works with the modern and contemporary art collection at Swindon Museum and Art Gallery. As Engagement Officer for the 2020-21 Art on Tour Project, Katie manages a programme of touring exhibitions, community engagement and digital content for Swindon Museum and Art Gallery.
