Michael Sheehy has worked as an illustrator for national magazines and newspapers for many years, developing a long list of clients including The Times, The Independent, Vogue, Elle, The European, National Trust and Marxism Today. His work has also featured in books, posters, leaflets, advertising and design projects internationally. His work for The Guardian won a Pentagram Award whilst a piece for The Times received a ‘Best Published Illustration’ award from the Association of Illustrators. Michael illustrated a memorable range of coffee packets for Whittards which garnered an International Packaging Design Award and created the brand identity sequences for the first BBC digital channel BBC Knowledge. He has worked for several years with Radio Times.

In 2016/2017, Michael worked as a Training Museum trainee at Colchester and Ipswich Museums Service, culminating in a project to digitise and document items from the 'Works on Paper' collection. As a result, over 400 new items were added to the Art UK website.
