Nude

The nude has been painted by artists for centuries. Historically, nudity was employed to embody heroism in ancient Greece and Rome. It continued to be used in mythological subjects, from Venus and Cupid to nymphs and naiads.

Through the centuries, many artists have brought their own vision to the depiction of nude subjects, from the fleshy nudes of Rubens, Renoir and Etty to the more modern take of Alfred Munnings, Annie Swynnerton and Modigliani.

From mythological scenes to biblical tales, and from the sensual to the erotic, choose from a wide selection of art prints that portray the naked truth of the human condition.
