Founded in 1868, the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter is home to an art collection comprising over 8,000 works – a rich mixture of paintings, drawings, prints, and sculpture, spanning a range of styles and periods. Alongside local scenes and artists, celebrated British artists represented within the collection include Gainsborough, Reynolds, Pompeo Batoni, Richard Wilson and Joseph Wright of Derby.
