Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew

Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to living collections of many rare plants and one of the finest collections of botanical artworks in the world. The Marianne North Gallery houses nearly 1,000 works documenting flora, fauna and culture from around the world. These paintings were produced by Marianne North (1830–1890) over 20 years travelling the globe, and are the largest contributor to Kew's collections of paintings in oil. The Collection of the Herbarium, Library, Art & Archives holds some 200,000 items, including original works of art in various media, amassed over the last 200 years and is perhaps the largest resource of its kind in the world.
