More about

Biggar Museum Trust at one point looked after some of the finest small museums in Scotland, covering several centuries of Scottish history. Included in these were Moat Park Heritage Centre, Gladstone Court, Brownsbank Cottage, and Greenhill Covenanters' House. In 2015, the collections from Moat Park, Gladstone Court and Greenhill were brought together under one roof in a purpose-built facility on Biggar’s High Street. Holy Trinity Chapel, Lamington, which is also owned by the Trust, is available for special events and services. One of the mains aims of Biggar Museum Trust is to collect, store, preserve and record the historical heritage of the area. The historical importance and accurate recreation of poignant periods in Scotland's history at these sites make them incredibly evocative.
