Due to Covid-19 restrictions, venues and exhibitions are closed until further notice. We recommend checking with the venues' own websites for up-to-date information. The historic Belper North Mill on the River Derwent at Belper, Derbyshire, is one of the oldest surviving examples of industrialised water powered cotton spinning mills in the world. The North Mill has a collection of cotton spinning machinery, original and replica, representing the whole history of spinning from the drop spindle to Crompton's mule. There is also an exceptionally fine collection of silk and cotton hosiery.
