The focus of the Bingham Gallery collection is Cirencester: the town, its history and its people, as seen through the brush of the artist and the lens of the photographer. The gallery is home to a diverse collection of paintings, drawings and photographs which record the fascinating history and development of the town.
In 2005, to celebrate its centenary, the Trustees fulfilled the long-held dream of their benefactor, Daniel George Bingham (1830–1913): the opening of the Bingham Gallery in the former Reading Room of the Bingham Public Library.
