More about

The Classical Art Research Centre is an internationally important resource for the study of ancient Greek vases and other aspects of classical art. At its heart is the Beazley Archive which includes the world’s largest collection of images of ancient figure-decorated pottery. The Classics Faculty, where the Classical Art Research Centre is based, is the world's largest university department dedicated to the study of Greek and Roman culture – a subject that has been taught at Oxford for over 900 years. The Faculty's offices and research projects are located in the Ioannou Centre for Classical and Byzantine Studies in the centre of Oxford. These paintings are accessible by appointment.
