Linacre is a College of the University of Oxford providing a stimulating intellectual and social environment for postgraduate and research students from Britain and around the world. Its student body is interdisciplinary and international, and the identity of the college emphasises academic rigor, environmental awareness, and commitment to a genuine community of intellectual and social equals. Situated next to the University Parks, and close to all the University's main libraries and laboratories, the College has around 400 graduate students and more than 50 Fellows. It is stressed that the paintings at Linacre College are not in public ownership. In accordance with the charitable aims of the College, which is a private institution, we are including our paintings on this website to widen public awareness and for the benefit of scholarship.
