London South Bank University (LSBU) opened in 1892 as the Borough Polytechnic Institute with the aim of promoting, 'the industrial skill, general knowledge, health, and well being of young men and women'. LSBU is now one of London's largest and oldest universities with campuses in both Southwark and Havering providing relevant, accredited and professionally recognised education to over 25,000 students from more than 120 countries.
