More about

The Royal Anglian Regiment Museum is the museum of the modern infantry soldier of East Anglia. The collection covers the period from the first amalgamations of the County infantry regiments in 1958–1960, up to the present day, and includes uniform and equipment used by soldiers from The Regiment, as well as photographs and documents illustrating all aspects of regimental life. The Imperial War Museum (IWM) site is a former RAF base. Most of the hangars, which house IWM’s aircraft collection, were built in 1918. The Royal Anglian Regiment Museum office is in one of these hangars. Later additions include hangars from the Second World War; the American Air Museum in Britain, an iconic building designed by Norman Foster; and the Land Warfare building, which houses tanks, artillery and armoured vehicles, and is home to the exhibition gallery of the Royal Anglian Regiment Museum.
