More about

A beautiful Grade I listed building with five floors of displays including period room settings, an introductory film and activities for families. Open as a Museum dedicated to Johnson since 1901, the collections include fine art, furniture, books, manuscripts and personalia. A secondhand bookshop operates from the same room that Johnson’s father ran his family bookselling business, and the Museum also serves as a centre for studying Johnson and his time.
