St Cross is one of the 38 Colleges of the University of Oxford. Devoted solely to Graduate Students and Fellows, St Cross is characterised by the continuous pursuit of academic excellence and by an intellectually vibrant and truly international community. The College motto 'Ad quattuor cardines mundi', meaning 'To the four corners of the Earth', exemplifies the College's ethos of welcoming scholars from all parts of the world. St Cross hosts a small number of paintings, mostly portraits of former and current Masters, dating from its foundation in 1965 to the present day. Scholars only; visits will have to be arranged on an ad hoc basis.
