Due to Covid-19 restrictions, venues and exhibitions are closed until further notice. We recommend checking with the venues' own websites for up-to-date information. The Grove Museum opened in Ramsey in 1978. It is a modest Victorian Villa once owned by the Gibb family. Duncan Gibb, a Liverpool shipping merchant bought and developed it as a summer retreat for himself and his family. A series of period rooms house many original furnishings and fittings plus the accumulated possessions of three generations of the Gibb family. A horse-powered threshing mill can also be seen in the complex of outbuildings which served the substantial adjoining farmland owned by the Gibbs.

Watch as our Conservator, Emma Le Cornu uses a specialised hot air pencil to peel off degraded tape that has been holding together a Deed dating back to 1846! A fascinating watch, it's an excellent reminder not to use tape on important documents. #IsleofMan #conservation
