Could these be the impressive conglomerate of granite rocks on the south eastern edge of Dartmoor, Haytor? It lies above the Teign Valley in the parish of Ilsington.
The Collection has commented: ‘We think that the stone outcrops look like the ones on Ilkley Moor, Yorkshire or Brimham Rocks in North Yorkshire.’

They have a look of Almscliffe Crag near Huby in Yorkshire. The scale of the people to the outcrop is as I remember it ( 60 years ago !)
